The Election Commission on Monday announced the schedule for the Bihar Assembly elections. Voting will be held in two phases for 243 assembly seats — the first phase on November 6 for 121 seats, including Patna, and the second on November 11 for 122 border constituencies. Counting of votes will take place on November 14, concluding the 40-day election process.

This election will see around 7.42 crore voters, including 14 lakh first-time voters and over 14,000 voters aged above 100. Citizens unable to visit polling stations can cast their votes from home by submitting Form 12 D.
