Kozhikode: Kerala is expected to receive moderate showers at isolated places in central Kerala and parts of north Kerala till October 10.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for several districts in Kerala from October 8 to 10, warning of moderate to heavy rainfall across the state.

On Wednesday, the alert will be in place for Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Kozhikode and Wayanad. On Thursday, it will extend to Idukki, Palakkad and Malappuram. By Friday, Pathanamthitta, Idukki and Kannur will remain under yellow alert. The IMD said these districts are likely to receive rainfall between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm within a 24-hour period.
