One person died and two were injured during two shootings that occurred on the campus of South Carolina State University on Saturday night.

Jaliyah Butler, 19, of Bouknight Fairy Road, Saluda, died at MUSC Health-Orangeburg, Orangeburg County Coroner Sean Fogle said. An autopsy is scheduled for later in the week.

Someone shot a male. University officials didn’t know his condition but said he’d been flown to a hospital.

The third person was injured while running from the scene of the first shooting, according to S.C. State.

None of the injured were S.C. State students.
