It’s been 30 years since Colin Firth dazzled audiences with that famous ‘wet shirt’ scene in the BBC’s 1995 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.
Now Lyme Park in Cheshire is reprising its role as Pemberley once more as it marks the 30th anniversary of the iconic TV series.
The mansion was used as the backdrop for the lake scene, where the actor - or rather his stunt double - stepped out of the water. A close up of Colin in the soaking wet shirt then led him to become a national heartthrob.
