A man is accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death following a series of violent rows during a night out in Liverpool city centre, a court has heard.

Rebekah Campbell died after suffering a "sustained and violent assault" inside her home at Knowsley Heights in Huyton, Merseyside, earlier this year.

The severely injured 32 year old told neighbours who came to her aid "my fella stabbed me" before collapsing outside her flat, her clothes heavily stained with blood. As she was rushed to hospital in an ambulance, she asked a police officer "am I gonna die?".

Her partner Michael Ormandy is on trial at Liverpool Crown Court, accused of her murder. However, he denies the charge, claiming he acted in self-defence during the incident.
