Glasgow drivers warned to avoid area as busy road closed after crash

A busy Glasgow road is closed after a crash, as police warn drivers to avoid the area.

Millerston Street in Glasgow’s east end has been closed by officers responding to a single-vehicle crash.

The road is closed between Gallowgate and Duke Street, near to the Forge Retail Park, on Tuesday morning (October 7).

The crash was reported to police shortly before 4am.

The incident follows a crash on nearby Holywell Street on Sunday afternoon, which saw the Gallowgate closed and a motorcyclist hospitalised.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Millerston Street in Glasgow is closed following a one vehicle crash reported to police around 3.55am on Tuesday, October 7.

“Road users are advised to avoid the area.”
