Firefighters rushed to an industrial unit on Dukes Road in Park Royal around 3.15am today (October 7).

The one-storey building used for laundry services was producing a “significant amount of smoke” and 60 firefighters fought to bring it under control.

There have been no injuries.

The incident was close to the westbound carriageway of the A40 Western Avenue resulting in traffic. Dukes Road is also currently closed.

The fire was brought under control over two hours later around 5.30am and firefighters will remain through the morning to fully extinguish the fire and dampen down the area.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
