The Punjab Government Monday imposed an immediate ban on the sale, distribution, and use of Coldrif Syrup across the state, following the deaths of 11 children in Madhya Pradesh allegedly linked to the cough medicine.
The decision comes amid growing concerns over adulterated medicine, with the syrup declared “Not of Standard Quality” by the Government Analyst at the Drugs Testing Laboratory under the Food & Drugs Administration, Madhya Pradesh.
Goa , Gurgaon , Karnataka , and Maharashtra are also among those that have banned the sale, distribution or use of Coldrif Syrup.
