Air India Flight from Colombo Faces Bird Strike, Lands Safely

An Air India flight from Colombo to Chennai, carrying 158 passengers, encountered a bird strike on Tuesday. The incident occurred after the aircraft landed safely at Chennai Airport, where the bird strike was detected. Fortunately, all passengers disembarked without any injuries.

Following the bird strike, the aircraft was grounded for thorough inspections as a precautionary measure. As a result, the airline cancelled the flight's return journey to Colombo. To ensure minimal disruption, Air India arranged an alternative aircraft for 137 passengers, who were later flown back to Colombo.

This incident comes shortly after another Air India flight faced issues due to a suspected bird strike, which forced an emergency landing at Visakhapatnam International Airport last month. Airport authorities are continuing to monitor the situation closely to ensure passenger safety.
