The Tamil Nadu Drugs Control Department issued a show cause notice to Kancheepuram-based Sresan Pharmaceuticals following the deaths of 14 children in Madhya Pradesh and two in Rajasthan after consuming their Coldrif cough syrup.

The notice directs the company to furnish key details within five days, including total quantity of drug manufactured, invoices and analysis certificates of raw materials, purchase invoice for propylene glycol, details of packing materials, and the master formula of the drug.
