MADISON (WKOW) -- Wisconsin football has not hoisted the Heartland Trophy since 2021, and will look to win it back from Iowa on Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium.
The Hawkeyes are going for four straight wins in the rivalry, which they haven't done since 2005.
If the reeling Badgers are without Billy Edwards again, Luke Fickell says they'll turn to Hunter Simmons under center again.
"Hunter has done a good job," Fickell said. "He will continue to get some more opportunities. Danny [O'Neil] will have some opportunities as well, and we'll have to see how that that goes. But I did, even after watching it, I thought, what we asked Hunter to do — he played with poise. He did the thing we asked him to do. He took care of the football for the most part.
