Northampton High School went on lockdown due to swatting call

Northampton High School was on lockdown for part of Monday after a call threatened the school.

At about 10 a.m. Monday, the Northampton Police Department got a call that there was an active shooter at Northampton High School. The building was immediately placed on lockdown and officials began searching the grounds.

Police determined the report was unfounded, stating it was a swatting incident, and the lockdown was lifted.
