South Lanarkshire residents aiming to make energy-efficiency improvements to their homes can now make use of a dedicated new support service.
The council has teamed up with sustainability organisation Changeworks to launch an energy and retrofit support initiative, offering an advice helpline, online planning tool and a programme of community events for those needing support with energy bills or installing new equipment such as solar panels or heat pumps.
It aims to “help residents overcome barriers to making changes” by providing free advice and practical support, with the aim of assisting householders to “make their homes warmer, more energy-efficient and affordable to run, while supporting the transition to net zero”.
