The reputed kingpin of notorious street gang, the Latin Kings, allegedly ordered the murder of the head of the U.S. Border Patrol.
According to Chicago cops, Juan Espinoza Martinez, 37, was arrested late Monday in the Windy City suburb of Burr Ridge. A native of Mexico, he had been living illegally in the U.S. for an undetermined amount of time.
The feds said a tipster gave them a heads-up on the alleged death plot on Border Patrol boss Gregory Bovino.
Investigators say that Martinez allegedly sent a Snapchat message, written in Spanish, that said: “10k if u take him down.” Martinez also allegedly included a photo of Bovino in a Snapchat and offered a $2,000 bounty for his capture, the criminal complaint said.
