BLOOMINGTON — Back in the spring, Indiana football coach Curt Cignetti listed Oregon as one of the teams with "unlimited NIL resources” in an interview with CBS Sports.
He mentioned the Ducks alongside Ohio State, Texas, Notre Dame, Miami and Texas Tech as programs with potential budgets upwards of $40 million.
As No. 7 Indiana (5-0; 2-0 Big Ten) prepared for a high-profile matchup in Eugene against No. 2 Oregon (5-0; 2-0) this weekend, Cignetti was asked if the Ducks' depth this season was directly related to them being able to outspend their Big Ten rivals.
“I don't know what their resources are,” Cignetti said. “All I know is they've got a lot of good players.”
