HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - Virginia State Police are investigating a head-on collision that killed a woman from Martinsville Monday evening.

VSP troopers were dispatched to the scene on Stultz Rd., one tenth of a mile east of Virginia Ave. in Henry County on 7:50 p.m. on October 6.

The driver of a Honda Civic was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of Stultz Rd. and hit a Chevy Tahoe head-on, according to VSP.

The driver was identified as 36-year-old Gloria Jaan Narsis Bednorski of Martinsville. Troopers found Bednorski dead at the scene; she was not wearing a seatbelt, said officials.

There’s no information on whether any other driver or passenger was injured during the incident as the crash remains under investigation.
