LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash near Nye County.

According to state police, at 12:27 a.m., two cars collided near the US95 northbound.

Officials say one man died at the scene. A driver injured in the crash was airlifted to a local hospital. Both north and southbound lanes are closed at this time. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.

Drivers traveling north on US95 are recommended to exit onto SR160 just south of the collision. Southbound drivers are advised to exit at 373, which will direct drivers to California. The route will then turn into 372 Nevada.
