Bedworth's annual big charity bonfire and fireworks will not take place again this year. The Bedworth Lions Club said it was 'sad to announce' that, despite working closely with all parties involved, it has been unable to secure a suitable site for this year's event.

It is the second year running that the annual event has not been able to take place. Last year, due to the ongoing works to works build the new £30.6m Bedworth physical activity hub, the club was unable to host the fireworks event at the usual location of the Miner's Welfare Park.

This year, despite looking for a new venue, as the park remains unavailable, the club says that a location has not been found. But the club says it is determined to host the event next year.
