The York County coroner identified the 17-year-old killed in an early morning shooting in York City last week.

Giovaughni Runningbear, 17, of York City, was pronounced dead at 2:02 a.m. on Oct. 3 at Wellspan York Hospital. His cause of death was a gunshot wound to his body, and his manner of death was ruled a homicide.

Runningbear was found in the 400 Block of West Princess Street Friday morning. It was the second fatal shooting in two days in the city , and the fifth homicide in the city so far this year.

An autopsy was completed Monday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown.

Police released a warrant for 17-year-old Tymir Williams of York City in connection with the shooting. Anyone with information on Willams should contact the York City Police.
