ALLEN PARK -- When Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes said Christian Mahogany had some “dirtbag” in him, he was referring strictly to the guard’s playing style.

That couldn’t be further from the truth when it comes to who the man is off the field.

The 6-foot-3, 327-pound offensive lineman is a respected figure among his teammates and the coaching staff, often seen joking with his position group at his locker, mingling with defensive players, or “arguing” with Amon-Ra St. Brown about where they will meet up and eat after a Lions win.

Aside from being a good teammate, Mahogany is also showcasing his value on the offensive line in his first season as a full-time starter.
