Terrion Arnold's once-promising second season could be coming to a premature end.

NFL Network reported Tuesday that Arnold's latest shoulder injury "likely" is season-ending and the Detroit Lions cornerback is in the process of getting second opinions on how to treat the injury.

Arnold re-injured his shoulder in the third quarter of last week's win over the Cincinnati Bengals after initially leaving the Lions ' Week 4 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Lions coach Dan Campbell said Monday that Arnold will be "out for a long time" but that he wasn't sure yet if the injury would require season-ending surgery.
