OKALOOSA COUNTY, Florida (WJW) - A Florida dog named Eeyore is drawing Lassie comparisons after leading a deputy to a missing woman.

According to Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office officials, a man called 911, frantic after his wife had not returned home from a dog walk.

Body camera footage shows the man telling the responding deputy that his wife had been gone over an hour on a walk that normally takes 10 to 15 minutes.

The deputy drove to look for the woman and said the dog ran up to her patrol car.

“Hi, baby. Where’s your mama?” the deputy asked the dog. “Show me where your mama is.”

A few moments later, the deputy finds the woman, who was lying on a sidewalk.

“The dog brought you over?” the woman asked the deputy. “He wouldn’t leave; he kept coming back to me.”
