EMERALD GROVE, Wis. — A 19-year-old man is in critical condition after crashing into a tree in a ditch in an unincorporated community between Janesville and Delavan late Monday night, the Rock County Sheriff's Office said.

Multiple agencies, including the sheriff's office, Clinton Fire Department, and Janesville Fire Department and EMS, responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on USH 14 and Cemetery Road at approximately 10:48 p.m.

Investigations indicated that the Janesville man was driving a Dodge Avenger in the westbound lane on USH 14. He failed to navigate the curve while entering Emerald Grove, resulting in his vehicle entering a south ditch and colliding with a tree.
