MISSOULA — There might not be a member of Montana's football team that savored the Grizzlies' recent top-10 win over Idaho more than sophomore safety Diezel Wilkinson.
The Spokane, Washington, native spent his freshman year of college in Moscow, Idaho, competing in the Vandals' secondary. Wilkinson earned 12 total tackles in his freshman campaign before entering the transfer portal last December.
Montana announced the signing of the 6-foot, 193-pound safety on Dec. 19. Wilkinson logged seven total tackles in his first game at Wa-Griz against Central Washington, including five solo tackles. He recorded four total tackles against his former team Sept. 27 — two solo tackles — and a QB hurry, too.
