Hundreds of residents in a new housing estate north of Bristol have backed calls for a community park. With no space for older children and teenagers to play, they fear a growing rise in anti-social behaviour and a lack of places for the community to get together.

The first families moved into Brooklands Park, in Stoke Gifford , a few years ago. There were plans to build a primary school on a two-hectare plot of land but these were scrapped. That site is now empty. Campaigners are urging South Gloucestershire Council to help them create a park there.
