MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A missing person report led to law enforcement finding a body and then a standoff that led to the subject shooting himself, authorities in southeast Missouri say.

Mississippi County Sheriff Britton Ferrell confirmed a man reported missing was found dead, and the man who barricaded himself in a home died from a self-inflicted gunshot.

According to Mississippi County Coroner Terry Parker, three people are dead in the incident. He couldn’t confirm the identity of the third person at this time.
