KIMBERLY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Repairs to the Vineyard Bridge near Kimberly on Interstate 84 are set to begin Oct. 13.

A year ago , an over height vehicle hit the bridge. Repairs, expected to finish by mid-December, will cost around $605,000, according to the Idaho Transportation Department.

“We knew it was going to take about a year to get this bridge repaired,” Project Manager Kenny Lively said. “With the bridge being important for some farmers, it is great to be able to get this bridge back up and running.”

Girders and a new bridge deck are being installed over the damaged section. The person responsible will reimburse ITD for the costs.
