Rex Heuermann, a New York architect, was arrested in 2023 and subsequently charged for a series of murders in Long Island dubbed the Gilgo Beach serial killings.

Heuermann was charged with murdering seven women in the area.

Amazon is the latest company to shine a spotlight on the case with a new docuseries. The streamer has ordered an untitled series from Nacelle Company and Empress Films with Emma Cooper, founder of the later, directing.

It is the latest company to do this following Netflix’s Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer, Peacock’s The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets and Investigation Discovery’s Nancy Grace-led The Long Island Serial Killer .
