A Connecticut woman has been accused of trying to kill her estranged husband with poisoned wine amid a bitter custody battle involving their 2-year-old child.

Kristen Hogan is facing two counts of attempted murder and one count of interfering with an officer, according to documents released by the Connecticut State Police. She was arrested on Friday and ordered held on $1 million bail during her initial court appearance.

It follows an investigation launched back in August, after the victim was hospitalized and underwent a blood test revealing he had ethylene glycol — a poisonous ingredient found in antifreeze and other household products — in his system.
