For the first time since she was still a teenager, Taylor Swift won’t be competing for a nomination at the 68th annual Grammy Awards. This is for the simple reason that the pop superstar didn’t release any music during the eligibility window, which ran from August 31st, 2024, to August 30th, 2025.
Her new album, The Life of a Showgirl , and its lead single, “The Fate of Ophelia,” were both released this past Friday, October 3rd, missing the cutoff date by more than a month.
