LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A plane went off the runway Tuesday at Bowman Field in Louisville as it tried to land.

WLKY was there when it happened.

The plane, a Cessna 525B business jet, went through a fence and onto Seneca Golf Course, which is about 370 feet from the end of the runway.

A Bowman Field spokesperson said there were two pilots and two passengers on board, and all were alert and speaking after the crash. They were assessed at the scene and declined medical treatment.

We're told the jet is not based at Bowman Field and was landing there as part of a scheduled flight.

It happened as rain is pummeling the region, but it's unclear whether rain is a factor.
