SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) -- Author Nicholas Sparks is famous for his stories featuring romance and the obstacles people overcome to find true love. But his new book has something different and new to him: the supernatural.

The book, called "Remain," is described as a supernatural love story. It is set to hit shelves Oct. 14. Sparks collaborated with movie director M. Night Shyamalan, known for telling stories with many fantastical twists and turns. When asked what brought the two entertainment powerhouses together, Sparks told WSAV News 3 the idea came together rather quickly.
