SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Savannah Police Department (SPD) is participating in Savannah Night Out on Tuesday as a way to promote police-community partnerships.

Savannah Night Out is inspired by National Night Out and promotes partnerships between police and community to boost neighborhood camaraderie and make communities safer.

The SPD has participated in the annual event since its inception in 2023.

The SPD will participate in Savannah Night out in four different locations: • Fellwood Park, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. • Tompkins Center, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. • Atkinson Avenue, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. • Savannah Elks Lodge, 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.

The events will feature various activities and will welcome all community members. Past events have included live music, food, games, cook-offs and more.
