UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A man has been charged after a fatal crash in University City.

Logan Spies, 29, is charged with one count of involuntary manslaughter after an Oct. 4 crash.

Charging documents state that Spies ran a red light while driving east on Forest Park Parkway and crashed into a car that was heading south on Big Bend Boulevard. After the crash, the victim’s car flipped over and caught fire.

The victim died after being taken to the hospital.
