(Cleveland)-This week is Fire Prevention Week, and the Cleveland City Council, during their meeting on Monday, approved a proclamation designating the week in the city.
In reading the proclamation, Cleveland Mayor Josh Turner pointed out that fire is a serious concern both locally and nationally, and he pointed out that the increase use of Lithium-Ion Batteries presents a big fire danger, especially when they are not used properly.
Turner also said, “And whereas the theme of 2025 Fire Prevention Week Charge Into Fire Safety, lithium-ion batteries in your home serve as a timely reminder of the importance of the fire safety practices related to battery use, helping reduce the risk of fire in homes and communities.”
