IOWA CITY — The status of Iowa football quarterback Mark Gronowski remains unclear after suffering an injury against Indiana in Week 5 of the season.

Hawkeyes head coach Kirk Ferentz spoke to the media on Tuesday, Oct. 7, and provided some optimism about the transfer QB's health status moving forward, but did not definitively say if Gronowski will play against Wisconsin or not.

On a 3rd-and-long in the fourth quarter of the Sept. 27 game, Gronowski scrambled out of the pocket and went down with an injury . After spending some time in the medical tent, Gronowski warmed up but did not return to the game.

Backup quarterback Hank Brown entered in his place. The Hawkeyes sorely missed Gronowski's presence in crunch time as Indiana came away with a 20-15 victory.
