DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) - A county schools employee has been arrested following a drug investigation, according to the DeKalb County Schools superintendent.

Superintendent Wayne Lyles posted on social media Tuesday that an employee in the school system was arrested during a DeKalb County Sheriff's Office drug investigation.

DCS said that the employee involved has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

Lyles said that due to it being an active investigation, DCS would not be releasing any additional information about the situation.
