A 61-year-old man has been convicted of stalking Myleene Klass between 2020 and 2024. Birmingham resident Peter Windsor has been found guilty of stalking the former Hear'Say singer by sending her an air pistol, handcuffs and "disturbing" letters. He was also convicted of stalking her Classic FM colleague Katie Breathwick, who received a DIY will-writing kit and "unhinged" mail. Jurors deliberated for four hours and eight minutes over two days before reaching their unanimous guilty verdict on Tuesday. Klass, 47, took to the witness box at Birmingham Crown Court last week and recalled how she felt "sheer terror" after receiving the items from Windsor at the radio station's London studios between March 2020 and August 2024. The radio and TV personality became upset as she remembered being called by the police and told that the Royal Mail had "intercepted" a gun addressed to her. "He said that whilst this gun wasn't necessary for a licence, at close proximity, right up to six feet it could prove fatal. I think anyone receiving a gun would be terrified," she told the court. "I was extremely shocked because suddenly it felt extremely real. I think we spend so much time as women trying to justify why we feel the way we do, have we misinterpreted it? There was no grey area here, there was a gun in a box with my name on it." Windsor, who has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, had claimed to be not guilty by reason of insanity. Judge Tom Rochford told Windsor that the options for his sentencing include prison or two types of hospital order. The hearing will take place next month.
