The more unpredictable it is, the better the results for the West Covina football team under first-year head coach Bai Kabba.

West Covina finished 3-7 last season and was fifth in the Valle Vista League. This season, the Bulldogs (4-2, 1-0) have turned things around. They have won four of their last five, including a 28-26 victory over Alta Loma in the league opener last week.

How is it happening? Opponents don’t know where the punches are coming from.

Sophomore Vance Davis, who is the Bulldogs’ top receiver, led the team in rushing with nine carries for 109 yards and a touchdown in the win over Alta Loma. Isaac Villegas, their top rusher, led the team in receiving with four catches for 83 yards and a touchdown.
