DENVER (KDVR) -- The world is full of beautiful places to travel and stay, but according to Conde Nast Traveler readers, Coloradans don't even have to leave the state to enjoy a stay at some of the best hotels in the world.

The travel magazine recently released its 2025 readers' choice awards for the 50 Best Hotels in the World.

With over 750,000 votes, readers highlighted the best places to stay during travels around the globe, featuring locations in Italy, France, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Morocco, Singapore, Switzerland, South Africa, Canada, Mexico and more.

In the U.S., only 14 states had hotels that made the cut. Some states had several spots make the list, like California, Tennessee, Illinois and Massachusetts.
