EAST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. —

A Brockton, Massachusetts, sex offender accused earlier this year of taking photos of a woman in the shower of a YMCA is facing 21 new charges, including possession of child pornography.

Abidan Rivera, 43, a registered Level 2 sex offender, was arrested in March after being identified during an investigation into reports of a suspicious man taking photos and/or video of a woman in the shower at the YMCA in Plymouth Street, East Bridgewater police Chief Michael Jenkins said.

Rivera pleaded guilty in May to charges of photographing, videotaping or electronically surveilling someone in a nude or partially nude state or their sexual intimate parts. He is currently incarcerated at the Plymouth County Correctional Facility.
