GREENSBORO, N.C. — A 14-year-old was killed and three other teens were injured Monday night in a single-vehicle crash on North Lindell Road in Greensboro.

According to the Greensboro Police Department, officers responded to North Lindell Road near the West Wendover Avenue on-ramp at approximately 8:42 p.m. on Monday. When they arrived on scene, officers located a car that was heading north on North Lindell Road when police say it ran off the road and struck a utility pole.

A 14-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The 16-year-old driver and two passengers, ages 14 and 15, suffered non-critical injuries.

Police have charged the 16-year-old driver with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, careless and reckless driving and a passenger restriction violation.
