President Donald Trump’s plan to end the two-year-old war between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas is a “reasonable framework,” but plenty of hard work remains, U.S. Rep. Jake Auchincloss, D-4th District, said Tuesday.
“I think there are elements of it that are going to require sustained engagement from the United States and the Arab League on Hamas and also on the prime minister of Israel to ensure that the ceasefire can hold and that reconstruction can begin,” the Newton lawmaker said on the second anniversary of the conflict.
Auchincloss was in Boston on Tuesday to tour a traveling exhibit that tells the story of the survivors and the slain at the Nova Music Festival in Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
