HENRICO, Va. (WWBT) - An officer suffered a minor injury Tuesday morning while trying to detain an unruly passenger at Richmond International Airport.
According to airport officials, Richmond International Airport Police responded to Gate B3 at 9:37 a.m. for a “disturbance” involving two passengers.
“The officers found an adult male passenger being restrained by others following an alleged assault that occurred as the flight was deplaning,” airport officials said. “The individual, who appeared to be intoxicated, continued to resist officers after being placed in handcuffs.”
One of the officers sustained a minor injury while trying to restrain the suspect.
The suspect, 20-year-old Zachary Lee Bowen of Chesterfield, was arrested and charged with:
