ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - On Friday, a dog was shot and killed by police after viciously attacking a woman in the Glenvar area. WDBJ7 has learned that this is not the first time this dog has attacked someone.
On Monday, WDBJ7 spoke with two people who said they were badly injured after the dog attacked them earlier this year.
“As soon as she opened up the door, I realized I was getting bit. I said, ‘Oh, I’m getting bit!’ I forgot about everything I had in my hands,” said Sterling Saunders, who was attacked by the dog in mid-July.
Saunders said he was an acquaintance of the dog’s owner and was invited to their home in mid-July. He said as soon as the door was opened, the dog attacked him, and he spent over thirty minutes in an intense fight trying to get it off of him, while the owner’s se
