Miami Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (3) runs on the field before the game against the New England Patriots at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on Nov. 24, 2024.

Odell Beckham Jr. is serving a six-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances, the free-agent wide receiver announced Tuesday.

Beckham's revelation came in an appearance on "The Pivot" podcast. The 32-year-old explained he failed a drug test during his time with the Miami Dolphins after the test showed his testosterone levels "were too high."

Beckham insisted he had never knowingly taken performance-enhancing drugs despite the failed test.

"We sat there with my main PT. We questioned everything. What is it? Could it have been this? I don't have new supplements," Beckham explained. "I can't put my finger on it. I'm being honest with you."

Beckham's suspension is expected to be announced Tuesday as a part of the NFL's daily transaction wire. He will be able to serve the six-game ban as a free agent, making him eligible to return to action as soon as Week 12 of the NFL season.

Beckham remains interested in returning to the NFL in 2025 after spending the 2024 season with the Dolphins. He will turn 33 during his suspension and has played for four different teams over his last three seasons, while missing the 2022 campaign while recovering from a torn ACL suffered in Super Bowl 56.

Beckham's six-game suspension is the maximum outlined punishment for a first-time offender of the NFL's PES policy, which is colloquially referred to as the league's PED policy.
