LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A 78-year-old woman is in life-threatening condition after she was hit by a car in the southwest Las Vegas valley Tuesday morning.
According to police, the crash happened around 8 a.m. near Somerset Hills Avenue and Biagi Street. Evidence from the scene shows a 2017 Audi was heading south on Biagi Street and making a left turn onto Somerset Hills Avenue when it hit the woman crossing the street in an implied crosswalk.
She was thrown forward onto the roadway following the impact, police said.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said the driver of the Audi stayed at the scene, cooperated with officers, and showed no signs of impairment.
