LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Families living in east Las Vegas held a rally Tuesday morning demanding change, near the intersection where a 12-year-old boy died from his injuries after being struck by an alleged impaired driver.
The intersection at 21st Street and Owens Avenue does not have a crossing guard. However, finding out which municipality was responsible for adding them proved to be just as elusive.
"If us parents have to come out here and walk the streets with our kids and protest every single day, if that's what it takes - that's exactly what we will do," Kara Barry, a parent of a J.D. Smith Middle School student said Tuesday.
