NILES A woman wanted for arson led authorities on a chase that ended in a crash overnight, according to Niles Police.
A bail bondsman told police that a woman spotted driving an SUV in the city had a warrant for her arrest on an arson charge.
A patrol car caught up with the SUV near the intersection of Routes 422 and 46 around midnight and gave chase.
The two-and-a-half-mile-long pursuit ended when the SUV crashed into a utility pole at Wood Avenue and Mahoning Avenue SE.
The fire department was called to remove the driver, identified as 32-year-old Victoria Dobroka, from the car. She was taken to St. Joseph Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
