WALHALLA, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The City of Walhalla Water Department has issued another boil water advisory for customers after a water line was damaged.

Officials said customers along Nellie Road, Vanilla Lane, Chadwick Lane and Legacy Farm Road were affected after the water line was hit by a contractor. The boil water advisory is in place as a precaution after the water line was restored, as there is a possibility of bacterial contamination.

Residents in the affected areas are asked to boil all water for a least three minutes before using it for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth.

Tuesday’s incident is the third time a water line has been damaged in Walhalla in the last few days.
